FungiMap’s The Great Aussie FungiQuest

The Great Aussie FungiQuest is the largest fungi mapping bioblitz in Australia’s history. Join fellow Australians - including some of Australia’s top mycologists - in getting outdoors and photographing all the fungi you can find. An adventure for all ages and experience levels.

The Global City Nature Challenge

Started in 2016 as a competition between San Francisco and Los Angeles, the City Nature Challenge (CNC) has grown into an international event, motivating people around the world to find and document wildlife in their cities.

The event is run by the Community Science teams at the California Academy of Sciences and the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County.

The Australian Councils BioQuest

The Australian Councils BioQuest measures the eco-engagement and eco-literacy of 530+ councils in Australia.

A higher BioSCORE leads to a healthier environment - for people and for the planet.

The great north american fungi quest

The Great North American Fungi Quest is the largest fungi bioblitz in North America’s history.

The first editon runs between 15 September and 15 October 2022.
A great adventure for all ages to discover, photograph, and identify all fungi and friends, including mushrooms, slime molds and lichen.

The Calgary Christmas Bird Count

Started in 1900, the Christmas Bird Count is North America’s longest-running Citizen Science project. Counts happen in over 2000 localities throughout the Western Hemisphere. The 70th annual Calgary Christmas Bird Count begins on December 16th, 2021.

The Great Aussie BiOQuest

The Great Aussie BioQuest has been a national event since 2017. It runs every August during Australia’s National Science Week. The first four BioQuests were state-vs-state competitions, exclusively using the QuestaGame app. In 2021, it began using the BioSMART platform, and became a council-vs-council competition - with over 540 councils competing.
